ODI World Cup 2023: Weather Update from Hyderabad ahead of New Zealand vs Netherlands clash

New Zealand will face Netherlands in their second match of the World Cup, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. The Kiwis had a dream start to the World Cup campaign as they won against defending champions England, without their regular skipper Kane Williamson. Williamson will also miss the second match of the mega event as the batter is yet to be match-fit and get back into the squad. They would like to continue their domination as they did in the first match. The Black Caps won by 9 wickets while chasing a target of 283 runs.

After making it to the 2015 and 2019 finals, the Kiwi fans hope that this is their year to win cricket’s most prestigious trophy. The Netherlands are a decent side as they almost gave up a good fight against the 1992 World Cup winners in their first match. The Men in Orange lost the match just because of the pressure of the World Cup.  They would like to give an upset to the Black Caps in the second match of their campaign and gain some confidence in the marquee tournament.

The pitch here is a balanced wicket where both batter and bowlers get equal help from the pitch. Pacers are expected to swing with the new ball, with the wicket having a good bounce on it. Rain alert in Hyderabad

The temperatures will be around 33 to 34 degrees Celsius during the day and will fall around 23 degrees at night. Humidity will remain around 53 per cent to 70 per cent. The fans can expect a full 50-over-side match.

The Netherlands qualified for the mega event in 2011. They had an impressive run in the World Cup qualifiers in Zimbabwe that helped them earn a spot in the marquee event. They recently lost their opener to Pakistan and will be looking to make a comeback to improve their chances to qualify for the semis.
