ODI World Cup 2023 IND vs AUS Final- How much prize money the winning team will get: Details here

Australia won their sixth ODI World Cup in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19.

In a thrilling showdown at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Australia emerged victorious in the Final of the ODI World Cup 2023, defeating India by 6 wickets. The match lived up to its grandeur, featuring remarkable performances and a statement victory for the Aussies. Australian skipper Pat Cummins had set the stage with a bold statement before the match, expressing the desire to silence the massive crowd in the world’s largest stadium. His words turned into reality as Australia executed a clinical performance, seizing control of the match and ultimately securing their triumph.

Pat Cummins’ decision to bowl first after winning the toss proved strategic as the Indian batting lineup struggled, posting a total of 240 runs. KL Rahul’s crucial innings, scoring a patient 66 off 107 balls, and Virat Kohli’s half-century rescued India from a shaky start at 81-3, following the quick dismissals of Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer. Despite their efforts, the remaining Indian batsmen failed to leave a significant impact, leaving the team in a challenging position.

In pursuit of 241, Australia faced early setbacks at 47/3, with Mitchell Marsh, Steve Smith, and David Warner falling victim to Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. The tide turned with the resilient partnership between Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne. Head’s explosive century and Labuschagne’s gritty half-century became the driving force behind Australia’s victory, securing the ODI World Cup with 6 wickets in hand.
