This is not an ideal situation but Pakistan can only blame themselves.

Former England captain, Michael Vaughan, today took to Twitter to offer a glimmer of hope to Pakistani fans, who are disappointed with their team’s performance so far in the 2023 ODI World Cup. Despite Pakistan’s struggles, Vaughan reminded fans that there is still a chance for the team to qualify for the semi-finals. He listed all the possible scenarios in which Pakistan can advance and urged fans to keep the faith.

Vaughan’s tweet can be interpreted in two ways. On the one hand, it can be seen as a genuine attempt to encourage and motivate Pakistani fans, who are understandably disappointed with their team’s performance so far in the tournament. On the other hand, Vaughan’s tweet can also be seen as a subtle attempt to troll the team indirectly. It is also possible that he tweeted just to troll Mohammed Hafeez, a former Pakistani cricketer with whom he has been engaged in banter in recent times.
