Rishabh Pant, in a recent interview, mentioned that he is recovering well and responding well to the treatment. The India wicketkeeper batter is recouping with treatment for his knee injury. Pant has visited the Delhi Capitals squads training session at Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The picture of Rishabh Pant has gone viral. In the video, he interacted with the press and in one of the pictures, he can be seen having a conversation with Axar Patel.
David Warner is leading the DC squad in the absence of Rishabh Pant and Ricky Ponting had also said that the DC side will hang his jersey at the DC dugout as a mark of respect, which they did, eventually. Pant had attended the first DC game at home which took place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. DC have not been firing as a unit and have endured four losses. Their Indian batting has struggled, and only the overseas players that have been firing.
DC will be bolstered by the return of Mitchell Marsh
DC will be, however, bolstered by the return of Mitchell Marsh, who had taken a one week break because of his wedding. The DC bowling unit has struggled. Mukesh Kumar has not delivered the goods. The left-arm bowling trio of Khaleel Ahmed, Chetan Sakariya and Mustafizur Rehman have been expensive. Anrich Nortje has been good in the pace department.
When it comes to the batting, Axar Patel has fired in the game against Mumbai Indians. He scored his maiden IPL half-century to take DC from 98-5 to 175. David Warner has been scoring runs for DC but he has not been able to score freely because the young guns of India like Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan have not set the IPL on fire as of yet.
DC have not been upto the mark in the competition so far. They will be hoping that they would want to pull up their socks against Royal Challengers Bangalore who have had a seesaw start to the IPL thus far. The Ricky Ponting coached side would want to buckle up and do it quickly as time is running out for DC.
