The upcoming post-apocalyptic/horror game, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is set to release in the first quarter of 2024 and the developers have just updated the in-game screenshots in the EPIC Games store.
Needless to say, they look amazing for a next-gen game. Fans are comparing the visuals to the Metro Exodus ray tracing update. Dying Light 2 also has great visuals, however, the games are fundamentally different despite sharing multiple similar genres.

The game doesn’t only look good, it will also contain over 40 hours worth of main story content, as per the developers. While the players as of now just have to take their word for it, the older Stalker games were very well received.
Since there was a huge gap between the older game and Stalker 2, players are expecting a great and engaging storyline. The only thing that fans currently worry about is the condition of the game launches.
Stalker 2 does not seem to have any DRM, meaning it is not always online and has performance issues, which does increase hope. Ahead of the launch, fans can also expect a new gameplay trailer and more details about the games’ setting.
The Facebook page of the game also saw some recent activities that have led people to believe that more information on the game will be provided during Xbox Developer Direct. The game will launch exclusively on PC and Xbox/Game Pass.
The game is developed by GSC Game World, a Ukrainian video game development studio. Due to the previous difficulties faced by the country, there were multiple delays. However, the developers have promised that the game will ship with 60fps, and provide an experience worthy of the anticipation.
