‘Naye logon ko chance to milega nahi’ – Fans react as Test and ODI squads for West Indies Tour announced

The selection committee of the Indian Cricket Board has announced the teams for the Tests and ODIs against the West Indies. The series against the Caribbean will feature a two-match Test series followed by three ODIs. The Indian team is also set to play five T20Is, with the squad for that format set to be announced afterwards. Rohit Sharma will remain as the captain of the Test side while Ajinkya Rahane will be his deputy.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad have been included in the Test side. When it comes to wicketkeeping KS Bharat could continue to don the gloves even though Ishan Kishan is in the squad. Jaydev Unadkat still retains his place in the side. Navdeep Saini makes his comeback into the squad and Mukesh Kumar is also a part of the side. Kumar has not made an India debut as of yet but he has played for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023 where he picked up 7 wickets in ten games and bowled some tough overs at the death.
Sanju Samson comes back into the ODI side for India
The notable omission in the Test bowling department is Mohammed Shami who has been rested from the series. When it comes to the ODI’s Sanju Samson makes a comeback into the ODI scheme of things. Unadkat and Kumar are in the ODI’s as well. The spin department for the ODIs will be shouldered by Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. For the T20Is, India should keep the World Cup of 2024 in mind which will be played in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA).
The fast-bowling duties in ODIs will be shouldered by the likes of Mohammed Siraj, Umran Malik. In the ODIs series India will look to fine tune any chinks in their armor ahead of the ODI World Cup that will take place in India in October. India will want to repeat what they did in 2011.

Bhuvi should have got a chance instead of umran or unadkat
Unadkat and Mukesh Kumar in odi squad 😭🤮..what are they doing? Unadkat didn't get a place in starting 11 in Lucknow team and he is in odi squad now ? Who are these selectors man.. terrible
No head & tail in selection. Jaiswal is attacking player suitable for white ball. But he is in Test team, not in ODI team. Mukesh Kumar is already 29 & hardly attain 130 km/hr. Without 140 km/hr with line & length,success in Test cricket is a distant dream.
Rohit Sharma should had also been sacked from test captaincy and also dropped, Rahane should had made test captain, for at least one year, after that we can find anyone from Gill, Iyer or pant.
Mukesh Kumar is an interesting prospect. He swings the ball like bhuvi and Deepak and in the latter stages he can bowl good slower ones(seen in the ipl) and at crucial moment he can bowl Yorker. He is a guy who can go for runs like shardul but can take wickets also like LORD.
@IamSanjuSamson Samson Please don't dive and get injured this time, play carefully even when you are in the team as a fielder or keeper. You are really required to be in the WC along with Sreyash at the finishers. We can't depend on Pant or Pandya.
