The Indian T20 League is a minefield of young talent waiting to burst onto the international stage. Players like Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh, Tilak Verma, and many others have found massive recognition through the league. Many of them have been rewarded for their success in the Indian T20 League with a place in the national side.

While still not picked up for the national team like Umran and Arshdeep, one such player who has impressed everyone is Mohsin Khan. The UP born all-rounder was picked up by the Lucknow team in this season’s Indian T20 League and gave an impressive performance. In the nine games that he played, he was able to take 14 wickets with an exceptional economy of 5.96. That’s almost unheard of in a T20 League! The left-arm fast-medium was the second-most shrewdest bowler in the league. The only bowler who had a better economy was Sunil Narine of Kolkata which is certainly a high bar to achieve.

Talking about this exciting young talent his coach, Badruddin Siddiqui, who also coached Mohammad Shami, said, “When the auction was going on, I was sitting with Shami in his farmhouse. He was picked, and so was Mohsin. And then, we were having a conversation about him. Talking to Sports Yaari, the coach further revealed, “Shami told me, ‘If you just give me four months with him, I’ll make him India’s best all-rounder’. He is a very good batsman. And even KL Rahul said earlier that he has a good understanding of the game.”

Siddiqui was also praiseful of Shami for his helping nature. Speaking of the same, he said,” “There can be many bowlers but you need to have a good understanding. You need to know what ball to use against which batsman. Today, Shami is a big bowler. But he is always ready to help the up and coming youngsters,” reiterated the coach.
