‘MI ne RCB ko pura dho diya’- Fans awestruck as Mumbai Indians beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in IPL 2023

The Mumbai Indians squared off against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium. MI won the toss and chose to bowl. RCB got off to disastrous start as Virat Kohli fell after scoring 1 off 4 balls to Jason Beherendorff. The move to send Anuj Rawat at number three completely backfired as he departed for just 6 off 4 balls with one four. RCB were in a spot of bother at 16-2.

Faf Plessis made a cracking 65 off 41 balls with five fours and three sixes. The RCB skipper continued his good form in the tournament. He combined beautifully with Glenn Maxwell who scored a majestic 68 off 33 balls with eight fours and four sixes. He was caught by Nehal Wadhera off Behrendorff. Mahipal Lomror could not replicate his form from the last game against Delhi Capitals.

Suryakumar Yadav scored 83 off 35 balls with seven fours and eight sixes to finish the game for Mumbai Indians

He was castled by Kumar Karthikeya for just 1 off 3 balls. Dinesh Karthik finally found some form as he hit 30 off 18 balls with four fours and one six. Kedar Jhadav and Wanindu Hasaranga made 12 each for RCB to end on 199-6 in their 20 overs. Behrendorff was the pick of the bowlers for MI with 3-36 in his four overs.

The carnage continued in the second innings. Although MI lost Rohit Sharma early. Ishan Kishan blasted the RCB bowlers to all parts. He made a stunning 42 off 21 balls with four fours and four sixes to set the tone. Even when he was dismissed by Hasaranga MI were ahead in the game.

Then Suryakumar Yadav and Nehal Wadhera combined together and blew the RCB bowlers to bits. They did not know what hit them. Suryakumar made a pristineΒ  83 off 34 balls with seven fours and six sixes. He was dismissed by Vijaykumar Vyshak Wadhera made an unbeaten 53 off 34 balls with four fours and three sixes.Β  The right hand-left hand combination complemented each other perfectly.

MI owned the Wankhede and wowed the crowd with their strokeplay. This game was an absolute hammering for RCB. The Bold Army have lost their second game in a row, In the end, MI just cruised to a six wicket win.
