Bangladesh captain Shakib al Hasan and West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach made significant jumps in their International Men’s Test Player Rankings. These ranking improvements have come on the back of their fine performances in the World Test Championship series in Antigua.

Taking seven wickets in the Test, which included a five-wicket haul in the second innings, has moved Roach into the top 10 in over two years. The Bangladesh captain Shakib on the other hand has moved from 46th to 32nd making a jump of 14 positions in the batter’s rankings. Scoring 51 and 63 in two innings has allowed the all-rounder to make this significant jump.

Kraigg Brathwaite has also seen an improvement of one place in his rankings and moves to 28th on the back of his 94 in the first innings. Jermain Blackwood (six places up, to 33rd) and John Campbell (11 places up, to 81st) also saw improvements in their batter’s rankings. In bowlers rankings, Alzarri Joseph (48th, up nine places) and Kyle Mayers (40th, up five places) have seen improvements.

In the ODI Men’s rankings, David Warner jumped one position to now sit at ninth after his 99-run score in the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka. Charith Asalanka, who won player of the match in the fourth ODI with a score of 110 has jumped 19 positions and now sits on 32nd.

On the back of his fine performance in the India- South Africa T20I series, Ishan Kishan has moved one place to sit at sixth. The biggest change in the positions however was achieved by Dinesh Karthik who gained a massive 108 places to reach 87th in the T20I Player Rankings.
