India wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan’s problems don’t seem to be ending anytime soon. It all started when he was reportedly summoned by the Indian Cricket Board for partying in Dubai. At the time, disciplinary action was taken against Kishan. However, when asked about the same, India head coach Rahul Dravid denied the reports. On the other hand, the former India U19 skipper has missed Ranji Trophy games.

In the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024, Jharkhand has had a poor season as they on seventh position in Group A Elite. The left-hander, despite the instructions from the India head coach, continues to miss India’s Premier Red Ball tournament. As confirmed by Kiran More on Cricbuzz, Kishan has been practicing with the Pandya brothers, with Hardik Pandya also looking to make a comeback in the game.

Meanwhile, as the Indian Cricket Board released the list of players Central Contract, it was found that Kishan’s name was missing from the list. It was quite shocking as the left-hander batter was continuously playing for the national side across all formats. However, the player hasn’t reacted to this yet.

In the next five months or so, the T20 World Cup 2024 will be played in the United States of America and the Caribbean Islands, which make for West Indies. Ahead of the tournament, there will be a discussion about the players’ workload management.

“They are being paid highly and they can’t pick and choose games for franchises. But yes, for all those centrally contracted and targetted players (next lot), the franchise’s support staff will have to regularly provide fitness updates to the NCA Sports Science head Nitin Patel,” an official told PTI.
