No other actress is rumoured to have received payment of Rs 1 crore for a single minute on screen, making this demand unprecedented. According to earlier rumours, Urvashi Rautela demanded Rs 2 crore for her item number in the Chiranjeevi-starring movie ‘Waltair Veerayya’.

When Urvashi gave back her ‘Miss Universe’ title in 2012, she courted her first controversy. At the third iteration of the ‘I AM She’ beauty pageant in 2012, Urvashi Rautela defeated twenty other contestants to win the title of ‘Miss India Universe’. Her happiness was short-lived, though, as she was later asked to return the crown due to her underage status—she was just a few months away from turning 18—at the time of the competition.

The problems didn’t stop there. Since Urvashi had already won ‘Miss Tourism Queen Of The Year’ in 2011, she had also broken the terms of her contract, which prohibited her from competing in another pageant for at least a year. These problems forced Urvashi to give up the crown, which Shilpa Singh, the first runner-up, took over.
