Matt Morgan opines on 24-year-old WWE superstar’s future after disappointing performance in Royal Rumble

The 2024 WWE Women’s Royal Rumble battle was a big event last night, with a slew of superstars showcasing their abilities to the fullest. Bayley eventually won the contest, but Nia Jax, Naomi, Jade Cargill, Liv Morgan, and Bianca Belair made an indelible mark on the WWE Universe. While most of the wrestlers performed admirably, Maxxine Dupri fell short.

Maxxine Dupri who is a member of The Alpha Academy took part in the Women’s Royal Rumble for the first time last night. She started the match at number 18 and stayed in the Royal Rumble for more than six minutes before being eliminated by Bayley.

Many viewers criticised Dupri’s performance since she appeared to make a few mistakes before being eliminated.

Matt Morgan reacted to Dupri’s performance on a recent episode of the Gigantic Pop podcast, saying she “has got to go.”

Meanwhile, the wrestling veteran applauded Bayley for attempting to assist the Alpha Academy member.

“[Maxxine Dupri?] She’s got to leave, no offence. [She has charm, but she needs to spend more time in NXT.] What! They attempted to frighten her out… Poor Bayley. Bayley attempted her dumb Kelly Kelly spinning around round and round flying head scissors, but it simply didn’t work. She tried twice. “Tried twice!” Morgan stated.

“Bayley is such a pro, she put like four different things in between to come back to it again, which is a pros pro that does that instead of going right back to the move you just botched, and that’s how good Bayley is, and she did it again. I feel bad for her. She’s got a great look, and she could do a worm kind of sort backwards very slow. [She can use some time in NXT.] Compared to all those women, she’s out of her league with respect. The rest of those women are going 95 miles an hour.” [23:11 – 24:06], Morgan stated.

Maxxine Dupri has now become one of the fan favorite on Monday Night RAW after joining Alpha Academy.
