The Afghanistan cricketer is infamous for his fitness. The 36-year-old is associated with laziness on the cricket field. As a wicketkeeper, there are instances where Shahzad could not dive enough to get hold of the ball, which used to frustrate the bowlers. Yet, Shahzad succeeded well as a batter.

Due to his lack of fitness, Shahzad is not preferred in the team anymore. Although Shahzad can contribute with the bat, wicketkeeping is crucial. The emergence of Rahmanullah Gurbaz has closed the doors for Shahzad from Afghanistan. That is what a lack of fitness and laziness can do to a player.
