‘Kuchh bhi’- Twitter rips apart Astrology shows which had predicted India’s win in World Cup semi-final against England

India were outclassed in their semi-final clash with England on Thursday. The Rohit Sharma-led side were thumped by England team in what was a no-contest in Australia.
The Men in Blue started off poorly in the powerplay which was what cost them the match as they failed to come up with a good total at the batting pitch. England reached the target of 168 in just 16 overs and that too without losing a single wicket.
The semi-final clash between India and England came out as one of the most one-sided games in the semi-final stage; an outcome that has stumped all. The most shocked however have been the proponents of astrology who had predicted a starkly different outcome.
Many news channels had invited astrologers to predict the performance of players and the outcome of the India vs England semi-final match. Most if not all had predicted India to win the match based on the stars and planets. Videos that are now taken as a subject for mockery show astrologers claiming India to defeat England and get into the final.
The outcome however was anything but an India win. The team that astrologers had predicted to win against England faced one of the biggest defeats in a World Cup semi-final. The Rohit Sharma-led side were thumped by Jos Butler and Alex Hales who combined to chase 168 targets in just 16 overs.
Following India’s loss in the semi-final, many Twitter users have come out and criticised these unrealistic predictions pandering as astrology. One user by the name of Dr Yasir Nadeem Al Wajidi said, “Astrology is a joke. It destroys families just like the English cricket team destroyed the Indian cricket team. Btw I was supporting Team India.”
