India and Bengal spin-bowling all-rounder, Shahbaz Ahmed has reportedly been traded by Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the IPL 2024 player auction. The all-rounder made his debut for the three-time finalists, RCB in 2020. Three years back, Ahmed played only two games for the team. However, since the 2021 season, the Bengal player has been a regular for the team.

Meanwhile, after 39 games, 321 runs, and 14 wickets, the India player has been traded to the 2016 winners, SRH. In exchange, the Royal Challengers have acquired the services of Mayank Dagar. The Delhi player made his debut during the 2023 season for the Orange Army and played a few games. The official announcement will be made on either Saturday (November 25) or Sunday (November 26) as reported by Cricbuzz.

On the other hand, the speculation of Hardik Pandya’s potential release by the Gujarat Titans has left the fans baffled. Apparently, as reported by ESPNcricinfo, the 2022 winners are likely to trade their current skipper with his previous team, Mumbai Indians. After all, the five-time winners are looking for a replacement for Jofra Archer, who didn’t play much and remained injured for most of the season.

Apart from this, the Blue Brigade has reportedly been offering 15 crores for the trade (all in cash). If this is official, it will be the biggest trade in the history of the tournament. However, it is quite unlikely that the franchise will give away their skipper. Also, Pandya reportedly wanted to become the skipper of the MI before being released in 2021.

Also, the camaraderie he has set with head coach Ashish Nehra in the last couple of seasons, the franchise would like Pandya to leave.
