Being the sports enthusiast that he is, Dhoni additionally watched the men’s singles quarterfinal match at the US Open 2023 between Alexander Zverev and defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, which the former won decisively. Tennis enthusiast Dhoni has been seen in the past taking in a match while on the court.

Earlier this year, Dhoni guided Chennai Super Kings to a dramatic last-ball victory over Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, giving the team a record-equalling fifth IPL championship. Fans waited in long lines to see him play for CSK during the IPL 2023 season, which was widely believed to be his last.

He has just hinted that he may stop his IPL career, saying that it will depend on whether or not his body can handle it at this point.
