Former chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board Ramiz Raja has lashed out at Shoaib Akhtar for his recent comments on Babar Azam. Akhtar had recently criticised Babar Azam’s communication skills and said that his English speaking skills are very poor. When Akhtar made these comments he received a lot of flak from former wicketkeeper batter Kamran Akmal.

Raja then talked about Akhtar’s ambitions of becoming the Pakistan Cricket Board chairman. Raja said that the Rawalpindi express needs to get a degree first to qualify for the post. “He needs to get a graduate degree first in order to become eligible for the chairmanship of PCB,”
Akhtar picked up 158 wickets in 287 ODIs for Pakistan. In Tests, he picked up 32 wickets in 35 Test matches that he played.

Former Pakistan players degrade Pakistan Cricket by giving delusional statements

“Shoaib Akhtar is a delusional superstar. He also had an issue recently with Kamran Akmal. He wants everyone to become a brand, but it is more important to become a human first. First, become a human and then a brand. Our former players degrade our cricket brand by giving delusional statements. You will never see that happening in our neighbouring country. You will never see Sunil Gavaskar criticizing Rahul Dravid. It only happens in Pakistan, where former players don’t let others do their job professionally,” Ramiz said on Bol News.

He had also mocked former Pakistan wicketkeeper Kamran for his poor communication skills in a panel discussion when Akmal and Akhtar were roped in as cricket experts on a news channel.“Kami is our match winner…he must be listening to this…he has played really well for Pakistan.” later mocking his accent he said I heard him speak, he was saying ‘sakreen’…it’s screen and not sakreen)” He had earlier said as quoted by Indian Express.

Akhtar also said that Babar is a big brand in Pakistan and for him to conduct himself well, he has to speak English to sustain himself as a brand in the country and that will also help him be respected in society as he is Pakistan’s all-format captain.
