Former England skipper Kevin Pietersen has asked Chelsea to sign Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo. Recently, reports have emerged that Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United. Although their manager Erik Ten Hag had made it clear that the player is not up for sale, there have been speculations about the football great wanting to leave United. Notably, the reports suggest that the club that the legend can only leave on two conditions.

The first one is that the 37-year-old will be released on loan for a year. The second one is that he extends his contract with the Red Devils till 2024. He has been linked to being signed by many-2 clubs but nothing conclusive has been reported yet. It also needs to be noted that Chelsea has rejected the chance to sign the Portuguese player. However, the former England cricket team skipper has requested the club to sign Cristiano.

Bayern Munich, also decided to let go of the chance to sign the two-time LaLiga winner with Oliver Kahn saying he doesn’t fit with the club’s philosophy. According to a report by The Mirror, he is believed to be approached by Atletico Madrid. They are said to be keen on getting the striker on board, and wage bill to accommodate Ronaldo. It will be interesting to see which club the former Real Madrid player goes to.

It is to be noted that his current stint with United was his second after the late 2000s. Talking about his 10-year stint with Real, he secured a lot of records. The forward was the leading goal scorer with 105 goals in the Champions League. He played the highest number of games in which a player has scored three or more times in LaLiga (34). He also made a record for the most goals to have been scored by a Real Madrid player in a single season (61). During his time at the club, he also clinched the record for the most goals scored in a Champions League campaign (17) and ended the competition as the leading goal scorer on six occasions.
