‘He’s a different player altogether’– Kamran Akmal slams Virat Kohli’s critics

Kamran Akmal believes that the star-batter is just one big innings away from getting back to form.

The Indian star-batter has been going through a rough phase for a long time now and the question of dropping him has been circulating all over. Since then, many current cricketers and former cricketers have come forward in support of the star-batter. Recent to join the list is Kamran Akmal. Virat Kohli is being backed by a lot of fans all around the world and well-wishers have been waiting for his comeback since his last century.

The sparkling youngster has scored 70 centuries so far and fans did expect him to break the record of the Indian great, Sachin Tendulkar. However, it is under question now as the batter is in a bad form and has been struggling to get his form back. Kamran Akmal came out all in support of the star batter and expressed that the talismanic batter is just one big inning away.

“He only needs one big innings. His belief, his passion for the game, makes him stand apart. Do you think that a player who has 70 centuries will listen to those asking for his ouster from the side? People who have played 1-2 matches are now giving opinions on him. I can only laugh,” Kamran told Paktv.tv.

“Footwork, bat swing, head position, shoulder.. everything comes into place. A player figures all these things out on his own. You have to keep your mind positive. Think about what you did right in your past. There will be a lot of opinions but you got to keep focus intact. A player is his own coach,” Kamran added.

This is not the first instance of a former cricketer coming in support of Virat Kohli. Kevin Pietersen, Shoaib Akhtar too have come in support of the star-batter.
