As India heads into the fourth Test match against England with the lead 2-1. The fourth Test match against England will be played in JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi which will start from 23rd February. For the upcoming fourth Test match, India pacer Jasprit Bumrah will be rested as per reports.

After the second Test team management was likely to give rest to Jasprit Bumrah due to work-load management. In the second Test match, he helped India to win the Test match with his bowling heroics as he took 9 wickets in both innings combined. He also becomes the first India pacer to top the Test ranking.

However, the team management decided to play Jasprit Bumrah in the third Test match in Rajkot and they won the Test by 434 runs. In the first innings, he picked Joe Root’s wicket as he bowled 15 overs and finished the figure 1/54. In the second innings he trapped Zak Crawley with LBW he bowled 8 overs and finished figures of 1/18.

Jasprit Bumrah has played an important role in India

According to reports Jasprit Bumrah will not travel with the India team to Ranchi for the fourth Test match. Instead, he will be heading home to Ahmedabad. He will be back for the last match against England. Jasprit Bumrah is the highest wicket-taker in the ongoing five-match Test series against England. Till now he has taken 17 wickets with an average of 13.65.

Since India’s tour of South Africa Jasprit Bumrah has played for India in Test cricket. In the two-match Test series against South Africa he took 12 wickets with an average of 12.92. So far Jasprit Bumrah has played an important role for India in home and away matches. Jasprit Bumrah didn’t play for almost one year after suffering a back injury. Since last year August, he made a comeback for India in the T20I series against Ireland.
