‘Jaisball is unstoppable’ – Fans react as Yashasvi Jaiswal scores his second double hundred against England in third Test match
At the age of 22 Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored his second Test century against England in the third Test in Rajkot. After getting retired hurt on Day 3 due to back spasms he came out to bat on Day 4. Yashavi Jaiswal scored his double-century from just 231 balls. As Sarfaraz Khan completed his second half-century in the Test match Yashavi Jaiswal scored his double hundred.
In the second Test match against England in Vizag Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his first double hundred in Test cricket for India. As India won the second Test match in the ongoing five-match Test series against England. Yashasvi Jaiswal became the third youngest batter to achieve this milestone.
In the 85th over of the match, Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed three back-to-back sixes to England’s legendary pacer James Anderson as he was chasing his double century. Yashasvi Jaiswal started his batting with 104 runs. Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan put together a solid partnership that has India reach 500 runs lead.
Yashasvi Jaiswal broke many records
In the first innings of the third Test match against England, Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed on 10 runs by Mark Wood. In the second innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal changed things around and scored a century on Day 3 before getting retired hurt. He showed his batting skills in the second innings. On Day 4 he smashed his double century and also became the first Indian batter to score two double centuries against England in Test format.
Yashasvi Jaiswal also broke another record for most sixes in a Test innings as he smashed 12 sixes while scoring his double-century. Earlier this record was held by Navjot Singh Sidhu who hit 10 sixes.
