Former Indian cricketer and mentor of Lucknow Supergiants,  Gautam Gambhir was pumped up after LSG’s thrilling 1-wicket victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday, April 10. The highly intense game was alive till the very last ball of the match in which RCB couldn’t hold their nerves and lost the match.

Meanwhile, Gambhir who was sitting in the LSG dugout was very tense about the match. However, as soon as he realised that his team has won the game, he started mouthing some cuss words and was all fired up. He was also looking furious while shaking hands with RCB players. During the handshakes, crowds were very loud and were screaming at Gambhir and he didn’t like it at all. After this, he was seen indicating them to be completely silent by keeping a finger on his mouth.

Brilliant chase by LSG

Talking about the match, RCB put up a monumental total of 212 runs in the first innings with the help of blistering knocks from Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell as they smashed brilliant half-centuries, LSG bowlers had no answers for them and were able to take only 2 wickets.

Chasing the target, LSG lost Kyle Mayers for a duck, as Mohammed Siraj cleaned him up with a superb ball in the first over. Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya also fell cheaply. LSG were struggling at the end of the powerplay as they lost their 3 wickets on the score of just 23 runs. Australian star allrounder Marcus Stoinis started taking on Harshal Patel and Karn Sharma, scoring big sixes down the ground as he notched his first fifty of the season.

Still, the game was in the balance. Stoinis got out, and then KL Rahul departed as well. But then the Caribbean batter Nicholas Pooran came to bat and smoked a 15-ball 50 and showed the world why so many teams tend to break the bank for him in IPL. He single-handedly turned the game towards LSG. However, after he departed, LSG needed 1 run in the last ball and Harshal Patel successfully beat Avesh Khan but Dinesh Karthik failed to collect the ball and the batters took a single and won the match by 1 wicket.
