Ira Khan, the daughter of Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta, will marry her beau Nupur Shikhare tomorrow. The planning for the wedding had been ongoing for several months. Together, Aamir and Reena planned the entire event with the Shikhare family. And the city hosted the Haldi ceremony for Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare today.

Ira, the soon-to-be bride, refrained from striking a photo. In Maharashtrian weddings, the prospective bride is forbidden from leaving the house once the haldi has been applied to her. Nupur, Kiran Rao, Reena Dutta, and several others posed for photos. The Haldi ceremony for Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare was held at Aamir Khan’s home in Bandra, Pali Hill. Ira and Nupur’s family members arrived, all decked out.

Navvari, a traditional Maharashtra saree style, appears to have been the inspiration for the Haldi ceremony. For the event, Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta wore Navvari. Nupur Shikhare posed by herself for photos. His mom was seen waving to the visitors. She gave Kiran and Reena hugs. Seeing the mothers taking pleasure in their children’s wedding festivities was a healthy sight.
