IPL Auction 2024: Official list of players and their set division is out
23 players have their base price at INR 2 crores.

The official list of players and their set division is out for the IPL auction 2024. Only three players are priced at INR 2cr. A total of 23 players are listed under the category of Set 1, which has a list of players priced under INR 2 crores. Probably for the first time in many years, only 3 players are under the category of INR 2 crores, which is a bit surprising. Most capped Indian players have their base price at INR 1 crore.
The three Indians who are priced at INR 2 crores are Harshal Patel, Umesh Yadav, and Shardul Thakur. All three of them are pace bowlers, who could bat a bit. It is a commodity that is usually in demand in the IPL auctions. Barring them, the other Indian players in the auctions have set their base price a bit low. The reason for the same is not known yet.
The governing body of the IPL released the list of players who are set to go under the hammer in the auction. On the 19th of December on Tuesday, the auction is set to happen from 2:30 PM IST in Dubai. A total of 333 players are available to be bought in the auction. 214 of them are Indians and 119 other players are from overseas nations, including 2 from associate nations.

Players with a base price of INR 2 crores
A total of 215 uncapped and 116 capped players are available to be picked in the auctions. Among 20 other overseas players who have registered their names at a base price of INR 2 crores, the prominent names are Harry Brook, Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Chris Woakes, Lockie Ferguson, Josh Inglis, Gerald Coetzee, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and others.
Some other players whose price is INR 2 crores are Steve Smith, Josh Hazlewood, David Willey, Jamie Overton, Ben Duckett, Rilee Rossouw, Adil Rashid, Mustafizur Rahman, Rassie Van Der Dussen, Sean Abbott, and James Vince. Most of these players belong to England and Australia. Even South Africa has some players having their base price at INR 2 crores. Interestingly, no player from West Indies or Sri Lanka has their base price at INR 2 crores.
