Shardul Thakur is back in the market after being released by Kolkata Knight Riders. The 32-year-old has seen his IPL career flounder ever since his release from Chennai Super Kings. Ahead of the IPL 2024 Mini Auction, the Indian star has priced himself at INR 2 Crores. While the base price sounds too steep, Shardul Thakur has a lot of attributes that can help the side that picks him.

#1. Royal Challengers Bangalore –

Royal Challengers Bangalore will have their eyes on Shardul Thakur during the IPLMini Auctions. Faf Du Plessis would love to have a utility player who could bowl four overs and score some runs. RCB is looking for someone to replace Harshal Patel and there is no better alternative than Shardul Thakur.

Shardul Thakur would love to make a return to the Chennai Super Kings during the IPL Mini Auctions. The 32-year-old had a largely successful time under MS Dhoni and the India Star would love a reunion with the men in yellow.

KL Rahul and his side lack an Indian fast bowling all-rounder and this is where Shardul Thakur comes into the equation. The 32-year-old has a lot to offer and the surface in Lucknow might be the perfect fit for Shardul Thakur’s bowling. Lucknow Super Giants have very little money left but a move for Shardul Thakur might prove to be smart.

Yet another team that is looking to make a huge statement during IPL Mini auctions. Signing Shardul Thakur may not be the statement they will be looking to make. Singing the 32-year-old Indian star could turn out to be a shrewd business for the 2016 IPL winners.

45. Kolkata Knight Riders –

Gautam Gambhir has always loved hard-working players and Shardul Thakur certainly fits the bill. Even though KKR had let Thakur go ahead with the IPL Mini Auctions, the two-time IPL winners may want to go back for him. Shardul Thakur had an indifferent IPL 2023 but he has a lot more value as shown during his blistering 68 vs RCB last year.
