‘Inke nakhre hi khatam nahi hote’- Fans bash Pakistan Cricket Board for their proposal to play Afghanistan in Bangalore

Reacting to this comment from Cricket Pakistan, the fans on Twitter bashed the PCB for their non-settling change behavior for the marquee event.

The drama for the venues for the World Cup 2023 continues with Pakistan having their excuses as well as ideologies about their plans of visiting Indian soil for the marquee event. Pakistan’s involvement in the forthcoming 50-over World Cup which is scheduled to be played in India still remains undefined as it is subject to government approval, according to Najam Sethi, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Sethi also stated that the PCB has written their plea to the world cricket governing body for clarifying that they cannot unilaterally agree to the fixture list released last week. The change occurred following the publishing by the world cricket governing body of the draught schedule for each team, which still needs to be approved by each nation taking part in the 2023 World Cup.

The head of the PCB wrote to the world cricket governing body to inform them that they would need permission from their government to use this draught timetable for the upcoming event in India. In the recent turn of events, Pakistan have articulated their wish to play their World Cup match against Afghanistan in Bengaluru instead of Chennai because of the spin-friendly behavior of Chepauk.

Previously, Pakistan even shared about their discomfort in playing the Indian Cricket Team at Ahmedabad for the World Cup 2023. Pakistan is planned to play matches across five venues throughout the league phase. In fact, Jay Shah the secretary of the Indian cricket governing body, had earlier directed that the list of fixtures would be out after the World Test Championship final, which was played on June 7-11 at The Oval but it eventually didn’t happen.

Also, as per some reports Sethi recommended that the delay might be because PCB needs extra time in responding to the request from the world cricket governing body for feedback on the World Cup fixtures regarding participating countries as well as broadcasters as per reported by ESPN Cricinfo.
