After the Asia Cup 2022 debacle, the series against Australia and South Africa will be India’s last chance to set things right before the 20-20 World Cup begins. With Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel returning from injuries, Rohit Sharma will finally have a near full-strength squad at his disposal, barring Ravindra Jadeja. The spinning-allrounder will most likely not be part of the India squad for the 20-20 World Cup.

The India-Australia series will be the second last opportunity to try out all options possible and then zone in on a T20 squad for the 20-20 World Cup. India will get proper preparation before the marquee event because Australia and then South Africa will come to tour India. Although it will be in home conditions, India could not have asked for a better dress rehearsal before the world cup begins down under later in the year. Both series will be highly electrifying and will challenge India to the hilt.

The India squad for the series is set to be picked by September 15th. It is expected that the same 20-20 World Cup-bound players will be picked for the home series against Australia and South Africa. Meanwhile, here is all you need to know about Australia’s tour of India.
