Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has started to practice his batting for a One World One Family Cup charity game on January 18. He will lead the One World team that includes Tharanga, Irfan Pathan, Ajantha Mendis, Harbhajan Singh, and Danny Morrison among other legends. On the other hand, the One Family team will be led by Yuvraj Singh with Mohammad Kaif, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Muttiah Muralidaran, Makhaya Ntini, Chaminda Vaas, and other esteemed cricketers of the previous era for the company.

The match will be played on January 18 at the Sai Krishna Cricket Stadium in Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, Karnataka, making it the first event to be hosted by this venue. Meanwhile, ahead of the game, the 2011 World Cup winner has started to hit the nets and re-fuel himself for the game.

Sachin Tendulkar busted a fake video on social media

Meanwhile, on January 15, the former Mumbai Indians captain in the IPL Took to Twitter and busted a fake advertisement using his face.

“These videos are fake. It is disturbing to see rampant misuse of technology,” he wrote, urging followers to immediately report such content-‘videos, ads, and apps’- en masse. “Social media platforms need to be alert and responsive to complaints. Swift action from their end is crucial to stopping the spread of misinformation and deepfakes,” he added, highlighting the need for platforms to heighten vigilance in the face of increasingly sophisticated digital manipulation.

Hours after the master blaster’s post, Union minister of state for electronics and IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar took to social media to express gratitude for raising awareness, and pledged stringent action. “Deepfakes and misinformation powered by #AI are a threat to Safety & Trust of Indian users and represent harm & legal violation that platforms have to prevent and take down,” Chandrasekhar, who is also junior minister for skill development and entrepreneurship, declared on X. He said stricter regulations under the Information Technology Act would soon be notified, demanding clear compliance from online platforms operating in India.
