‘Hope ke chakkar mein aajtak nahi jeet paye’ – Fans troll Brett Lee furiously for predicting Bangalore as winner of the upcoming edition of Indian T20 League

Bangalore have been the unluckiest franchise in the Indian T20 League. They have not been able to lift the trophy after 15 seasons. The Bold Army has made it to three finals in 2009, 2011 and 2016. Bangalore have had a good record in the last three seasons making it to the playoffs in the tournament in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Brett Lee on Sports Yaari said that he hopes to see Bangalore winning the Indian T20 League this year and break their title drought in the tournament. “I hope Bangalore & Virat Kohli lift the Indian T20 League this year”. The former Australian speedster said. Bangalore coming into the 2023 auction did not make major changes to their squad. They retained the core of the team which played in 2022. The Bold Army made a few good purchases to help make their team stronger.

The latest update coming from the Bangalore camp is that Will Jacks has been replaced by Michael Bracewell. The England player had a muscle injury in Bangladesh in the second ODI and was ruled out of the tour and also the Indian T20 League. The Kiwi player was signed as a replacement by Bangalore. They also roped in Reece Topley. The Left-arm-pacer will be a trump card for the franchise with the ball.
“Michael’s been a key contributor to our white-ball teams since making his debut last year. It’s exciting he’ll get a chance to take up the learning opportunities the Indian T20 League provides – particularly as a spin bowling all-rounder,” New Zealand coach Gary Stead said. “With a World Cup in India this year it’s great to have players getting more experience in those conditions.” Stead added.
Faf du Plessis will lead the side for the second time and will be hoping to create history with Bangalore. Virat Kohli will want to lead with the bat and have a good season for the franchise. If Lee’s words come true then it will be a famous first for Bangalore.
