After a heartbreaking 3-0 Test series loss to England, the Pakistan cricketing scenario is going through a series of changes. Just a day after England whitewashed Pakistan in their home series, Ramiz Raja was sacked as the chairman of the PCB. Since being removed from the post of chairman of PCB, Ramiz has been in the news for his constant controversial statements.

Now Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir once again made a straightforward remark on former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Raja over his continuous statements on Najam Sethi and many others people after he was sacked from the cricket board. Earlier, Raja also opined that those who faced fixing charges should not be allowed to make a comeback.

“You are saying they launched an attack, describing the way they entered. I think they way the previous government brought you, similarly the new one brought them. Najam Sethi had stepped down from his position quietly. He didn’t point fingers at anyone, neither did he do any paid TV interviews, where he claimed that he has been done wrong. If you start counting his achievements, there are plenty. When Zimbabwe first toured in 2015-16, he was there.” Amir said to Samaa TV.

The amount of damage you’ve done: Mohammad Amir

Amir was sidelined by the former chairman despite being one of the leading pacers for Pakistan, especially in the white-ball formats. Furthermore, he also played an important role in the national team’s triumph in the 2017 Champions Trophy. He also said that now Sethi has to make things better which Ramiz couldn’t do in his regime.

“No one was ready to buy PSL, he ensured that it happened. The list is endless and he could have also cried on TV. But you did nothing and talk too much. The amount of damage you’ve done from 2019-2022, I think Najam Sethi will have to work a lot to rectify them,” he added.

Amir last played for Pakistan in 2020, in a T20I against England, and later announced his retirement from international cricket owing to a lack of chances. However, the former pacer has been allowed to train at the National High-Performance Centre under the new management headed by Najam Sethi.
