India Women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur came up with a full hearted message on social media after Women in Blue’s 20-20 World Cup  semi-final loss to Australia. India lost to Australia by a slender margin of five runs. India ended on 167-8 in comparison to Australia’s 172-4 at the end of 40 overs.

Kaur was not in the best of moods and was fuming when she got out after making 52 off 34 balls with five fours and one six. She forged a much needed alliance with Jemimah Rodrigues who scored 43 off 24 balls with six fours. India have lost yet another semi-final in a World event. India had lost the Commonwealth Games final at Birmingham to Australia recently as well.

It is difficult to control myself – Harmanpreet Kaur

“This is for all our fans across the globe who have supported us throughout this World Cup . I thank you for believing in our journey. I know as a cricket fan it’s sad to see your team loose . All I can say is that we will come back strongly and put a great show out there,” Harmanpreet said on Twitter.

Here is the tweet

Kaur put on shades and came to the presentation ceremony,  She said that she did not want the fans to see her crying. And that is why she put on sunglasses. “It is very difficult to control myself. I don’t know. Right now, I am sitting in a hangover,” “I don’t understand how it is going on. But after this, when we go to the room, we will know how many more days it will take. But I think we played good cricket. That’s all I can say,” She added.

India have not cracked the magic puzzle to beat Australia at World events as they lost to Australia on Australian soil at the MCG in the 20-20 World Cup final in 2020. India will have to come back strong in another World event and perform well. Australia and South Africa will face each other in the 20-20 World Cup final on 26 February at Cape Town.
