Get well soon family’- Fans pour in wishes as injured WWE star Xavier Woods set to miss RAW on his birthday

His injury comes at the worst possible time for the 36-year-old as the New Day had just returned to action.

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is a bus that never stops running. With shows like RAW and Smackdown as well as NXT always throwing up content. The wrestlers across the brands are expected to put up a show for the legion of fans week in and week out.

Injuries are an integral part of a Wrestler’s life, especially in the world of WWE. Noted tag-team legend and one-half of the tag-team Xavier Woods is one such superstar in question. The former tag-team champion and King of The Ring winner is currently injured. The injury comes at the worst possible time for the 36-year-old as the New Day had just returned to action. The 11-time WWE tag-team champions had started to make their presence felt in the squared circle once again.

Xavier Woods posts concerning news on Twitter

Austin Creed better known as Xavier Woods of World Wrestling Entertainment is out injured. Woods turns 37 on Monday 4th September, the day when WWE’s flagship program Monday Night Raw takes place. Woods got injured during a tag team match last Monday when Drew McIntyre inadvertently struck the steel chair on Woods’s face. The New-Day tag team member took to Twitter and replied to a fan “Moments before I had a chair hurled into my face giving me a whiplash. Doctors’ orders, no wrestling next week. Was pumped to be out there on my birthday but it looks like I’ll be spending it at home next Monday. See y’all the week after”

Xavier Woods is a noted name in World Wrestling Entertainment and has a legion of fans. The 36-year-old made his debut in WWE in 2010 with a stint in Florida Championship Wrestling. Woods then moved to the NXT brand in late 2012 before getting called up for RAW.

Woods after an initial run with R- Truth moved into a partnership with Kofi Kingston and Big E. The trio went on to win the WWE Tag Team Championship of RAW on four occasions. The group also won the Smackdown Tag Team titles on 7 occasions. While Kofi Kingston and Big E had run with the World title, Xavier Woods tasted success with a King of the Ring win. All three members have been dealing with injuries in recent times. Big E is out indefinitely while Kingston and Woods had just made a comeback to TV.
