In a surprising turn of events, former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has announced his decision to bid adieu to the political landscape to honour his cricketing commitments. Gambhir, who ventured into politics in 2019, cited his passion for the game and the desire to contribute more actively to it as the driving forces behind his decision.

I sincerely thank Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji and Hon’ble HM @AmitShah ji for giving me the opportunity to serve the people. Jai Hind!” he wrote.
