Brazil and Switzerland faced off against each other in the FIFA World Cup 2022 on November 28, Monday hosted by Qatar and both teams put on a great show on the day as they both teams came up with great efforts, and the scoreline remained 0-0 at the stroke of the first half whistle. 

To add more, the Seleção Canarinho dominated the entire first half, and Switzerland created only one opportunity to their name in the first 45 minutes. While Brazil dominated in pass accuracy as well, the Rossocrociati failed to come up with a goal to their name, even though they were as good as their opponents in ball passing. 

Brazil got off to a great start in the ongoing multinational tournament as they won the game against Serbia with a scoreline of 2-0 and took home the 3 points to lead the points table. Switzerland, on the other hand, won their first game against Cameroon with a scoreline of 1-0.

As far as the second half is concerned, while Brazil toiled it hard and aimed more at the 18-yard box as compared to the Nati, the latter looked lost and were completely out of the game although their defence was the only positive in the entire game. 

With both teams well and truly alive in the race to make it through to the knockouts, Brazil are the early favourites to make it through to the semi-finals, although it remains to be seen if they could make it to the summit clash. Switzerland, on the other hand, would keep their fingers crossed and bank on their composure to make it count in their next clash in the group stage. 

Vini Jr., Brazil’s star player, almost came closer to scoring the goal in the 64th minute, before it was called off by the match referee, much to the dreariness of the team management and the Brazil fans. Post that, Brazil lost momentum and failed to display character, until Carlo Casemiro
