Australia captain Mitchell Marsh has tested Positive for COVID 19 ahead of the three-match T20 series against West Indies. Australia Cricket has been given green light to lead the Australian side even he has tested COVID 19. Cricket Australia has confirmed that Mitchell Marsh will be allowed to play the match while following the protocols used for COVID.

The first T20 game against West Indies will be held in Bellerive Oval in Hobart. Mitchell will be given a spare dressing room and has to maintain distance with his teammate while fielding.

In the recent past Australia team has been concerns with COVID-19. In the recently ended Test series against West Indies Australia all-rounder Cameron Green along with head coach Andrew Mcdonald was tested positive for COVID. Though Cameron Green was allowed to play the 2nd Test match following protocols. A moment of fun happened in the match when Cameron Green took a catch and came near the team to celebrate wicket Jos Hazlewood was shook away Green.

During the ODI series against West Indies Australia’s wicketkeeper Josh Inglis was also test positive for COVID and has allowed to take field.

In cricketing world there has been rise in COVID 19 cases

For the T20 world Cup which is going to take place in West Indies the all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been seen ideal candidate for captaincy role. He is named captain for his side against the West Indies series and New Zealand. Also, Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins will return back for T20.

In cricketing world there has been rise in COVID 19 cases. In January during the T20 series between New Zealand and Pakistan some players from New Zealand came into contact.

Stand in captain for New Zealand Mitchell Santner missed the first game due to Covid. On the other hand opener Devon Conway didn’t play in the fourth game due to coming into contact of Covid.
