Novak Djokovic still continues to amaze one and all at the age of 36. He brought home his 24th Grand Slam at the US Open on Sunday. In a straight-set shootout, Djokovic was too hot to handle for Daniil Medvedev as he beat him 6-3, 7-6 (5), 6-3. Djokovic while doing so drew level with Margret Court in terms of most Grand Slam titles in Tennis History. The win meant Djokovic was also back at the pole position at No. 1 in the WTA rankings on Monday.
Djokovic has now won titles at exactly one-third of the big tournaments he has participated in (24 titles in 72 major appearances). He has reached the final in exactly half (36) of the Slams in which he has finished playing Djokovic also broke another record when he joined Roger Federer on the list of Men’s players with four or more titles at three different majors. Djokovic amazed the crowd with his wonderful tennis on show and the crowd showed their love by giving him a standing ovation after the match was finished.
“To make history [in] this sport is just something truly remarkable and special, obviously, in every possible way, in every possible meaning of the word,” the second-seeded Djokovic said on the court following the win. “It’s hard to describe the words.” Djokovic said after the game. “I never imagined that I would be here standing with you talking about 24 Slams. I never thought that would be the reality,” The Serbian added. “But the last couple of years, I felt I have a chance, I have a shot for history, and why not grab it if it’s presented?” he further said.
Djokovic battled it out on the court for a good 3 Hours and 16 minutes. When the match ended and he had weaved his magic, the Serbian broke down. To celebrate his triumph at the US Open Djokovic sported a T-shirt which said ‘Mamba Forever. The tennis superstar wore the T-shirt in remembrance of the late NBA icon Koby Bryant. Bryant had passed away in 2023 in a tragic helicopter crash.
Let us take a look at the reactions on Twitter:
NO ONE in the corporate media will even mention this, but how sweet is it that Novak Djokovic wins the U.S. Open after being banned multiple times because he refused to be vaccinated, beats another unvaccinated player, and ESPN’s “shot of the day” is sponsored by…
Moderna?!!

Breaking …
The greatest tennis player in history, unvaccinated Novak Djokovic, has won his 24th major and the U.S. Open.
After the pharma fascist in the USA barred him from playing for two years for not being vaccinated – he returns as a pure blood and takes the championship. pic.twitter.com/8lUheD3B04

I’m ready to say something I’ve always refrained from saying out of respect for Federer & Nadal:
Novak Djokovic is the greatest male tennis player of all time. Not just statistically. The greatest ever, period. For the first time, I can confidently say this won't change. Fin 🐐

Novak Djokovic really got banned from America for a year and responded by winning their biggest tournament.

When Novak Djokovic broke the men's Slam record, the media never gave him credit for it. Instead, they tried to diminish him by comparing him with the WTA.
Each time they put a new challenge in Djokovic's way, he answers by doing something even more impressive.
24 and counting. pic.twitter.com/lfNmyWILHU
