‘Chalo clarity to hai inke mind me’ – Fans react as reports suggest India will play Ishan Kishan in middle order only in Asia Cup 2023
Ahead of India’s iconic clash against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023, Indian fans and team management are thinking about the best possible combination. After KL Rahul’s injury scare, the team will have to field either Ishan Kishan or Sanju Samson; if Kishan plays, who will open for the team? These questions will only be answered after the toss on September 2.
However, the latest news reports revealed that India is going with their preferred wicketkeeper-batsman, i.e., Ishan Kishan. Reports also reveal that Kishan has been asked to bat in the middle order by team management, and he has been seen doing match stimulations with Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya. It’s worth noting that in one-day internationals, Kishan has proven his worth in the opening position. He has yet to establish himself as a middle-order batter.
Further, media reports revealed that India is keen to keep the top 3 untouched. The team will field skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill to open the inning, followed by ace batter Virat Kohli. After that, team management will set the batting order according to the situation. Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, and Hardik Pandya are set to make their way into the playing XI. The only concern is the wicketkeeper-batter, which is possibly Ishan Kishan.
Rain set to spoilsport India’s opening game of the Asia Cup
India will play their campaign opener in the Asia Cup against Pakistan on Saturday. Ahead of the iconic clash, the weather forecast has troubled fans and cricket pundits. According to the latest weather forecast, there are up to 80% chances of rain during match time. A stomper named Balagolla is set to hit Kandy on Saturday, which will surely trouble the India vs. Pakistan match.
It’s worth noting that India will play both of their group matches in Kandy. The first match will be against Pakistan on September 2, while the second and last group match will be against Nepal on September 4. After that, the top two teams will qualify for Super 4 and will move to Colombo for the final leg of the tournament. Two weeks after the Asia Cup, India will host the ODI World Cup in India after 12 years.

It would be best to keep batman and wicket keeper in the top 5, followed by three all-rounders and then three bowlers.
Its my selection.— Amit Kumar Tiwari{अमित) (@imamitkrtiwari) September 1, 2023
Currently Samson is going unlucky so I don't think he will get chance
