As Greater Noida’s Buddha International Circuit gears up for the MotoGP Bharat, fans are excited about the event. Adding to their anticipation, former India cricketer Suresh Raina visits the venue. Due to his fondness for the sport, Raina seized the opportunity and went on to meet some legends of the game.

He met six-time champion Marc Marquez from Spain. Raina spent some time with the legendary biker and then also enjoyed a special ride with him. The ex-cricketer enjoyed a ride with Marquez on the iconic Sholay bike. Posting the pictures of his recent visit, Raina captioned, “Revving up the excitement as my home state, Uttar Pradesh, is hosting the upcoming Moto GP. Wishing all the teams the best as they take on the Buddha International Circuit!”

It is worth noting that after more than a decade, Buddha International Circuit is hosting an international event. The MotoGP Bharat will kick off on September 22 and end on September 24. The organisers and district administration are anticipating more than 1 lakh spectators for the program. Lastly, in 2011, this only Indian race circuit hosted the Indian Grand Prix.

Suresh Raina backs Shubman Gill as India’s X-factor

Meanwhile, 2011 World Cup winner Suresh Raina has backed young Shubman Gill to play a key role in India’s World Cup 2023 campaign. According to Raina Gill, she can do what Rohit Sharma did for India in the 2019 World Cup. Raina also called Gill a born leader who can dominate both spinners and pacers. “What Rohit Sharma did in the 2019 World Cup, Gill could do the same for India this year. He’ll get 50 overs to bat, so it’s a takeoff point for his batting. I think he’s a born leader, and he shows that in his game”, says Raina.

“The form he’s playing in with his hand speed—it’s extremely strong. Spinners don’t know where to bowl to him, and if fast bowlers don’t swing the ball, he can play those really well with a straight or a flick. His mindset will not stop here”, he further added. It is worth noting that in the 2019 World Cup, Rohit Sharma had a great run. He ruled the tournament with five centuries and more than 600 runs. Rohit was the highest run scorer of the tournament.
