Recently, Mohammed Siraj reported a ‘corrupt approach’ to the Indian Cricket Board’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU). He was approached by an unidentified man, a driver in Hyderabad to get the inner information of the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore. Notably, Siraj is currently associated with RCB in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League 2023.

He was approached for this information when Team India was playing the three-match ODI series against Australia, just before the start of the 16th season of the Indian Premier League. But, Siraj complained to the ACU without any fail in the information.

“It wasn’t a bookie who approached Siraj. It is a driver from Hyderabad who is addicted to betting on matches. He had lost huge money, and approached Siraj for inside information,” said a senior Board source to the Press Trust of India.
