Asian Games 2023: Overall medals tally, September 30 – India continues to claim medals in Hangzhou to remain in Top 5 of medal table
India claims the silver medal in 10m air pistol mixed team event.

Indian athletes continue to claim medals in the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou. On the 30th of September, the Golfers started from where they left yesterday. In the round 3 of men’s individual category, Anirban Lahiri, SSP Chawrasia, Khalin Joshi, and Shubhankar Sharma are taking part to make some impact on the Indian medal table. Likewise, the Indian Golf team is taking part in the men’s event.
In the women’s individual event, Aditi Ashok, Avani Prashanth, and Pranavi Urs are taking part. Likewise, the women’s Golf team is also taking part in the Round 3. In Equestrian Dressing and Eventing events, both the team and individuals like Vikas Kumar, Apurva Dabhade, and Ashish Limaye are taking part. India currently has 34 medals, including 8 gold medals, which makes them the fourth best team in the table currently.
The shooters continued to claim medals in the event. The duo of Sarabjot Singh and Divya TS won the silver medal in the 10m air Pistol mixed team event. Swapna Barman, the defending champion, is taking part in the women’s Heptathlon event. Olympic silver medalist weightlifter Mirabai Chanu is set to take part in the women’s 49kg event soon.

Indian athletes shine in the heats, interesting finals ahead of Team India
Olympic Bronze medalist Lovlina Borgohain will also be taking part in the quarterfinal of women’s 75kg category. Earlier in the day, many Indian athletes took part in the heats of various events in Athletics. Murali Sreeshankar and Jeswin Aldrin qualified for the final of the men’s long jump. Ajay Saroj and Jinson Johnson qualified for the men’s 1500m final.
Nithya Ramraj and Jyothi Yarraji qualified for the final of the women’s 100m Hurdles final. The final of these events are scheduled to take place tomorrow. Indian men’s doubles team is set to take on Pakistan in the finals of the Squash. Rohan Bopanna and Rutuja Bhosale are set to take part in the mixed doubles event in Tennis. Later in the day, Indian men’s hockey team will be in action against Pakistan team in the group stage match.
