‘Always with you coach’ – Gavi reacts to Xavi Hernandez announcements of parting ways with Barcelona  

On Saturday, January 27, Barcelona fell 5-3 to Villarreal at the Estadio Lluis Olimpic Companys in La Liga. Therefore, they are third in the table, ten points behind leaders and arch-rivals Real Madrid. In this season so far, Barcelona hasn’t been the best and the pressure was building on the manager as they lost the Spanish Super Cup final 4-1 to Real Madrid and got out of Copa del Rey by Athletic Bilbao.

The ongoing season will end only in four months it seems like Xavi will give everything to Barcelona club to win a piece of silverware.

Xavi also stated that this decision won’t be changed even after winning the title at the end of the season.

“I will leave Barcelona in June. We have reached a point of no return. It’s time for change. As a Culé, I think that it’s time to leave. I spoke with the board and the club today. I will leave on the 30th of June. “I took it days ago, but today was the time to announce it,” Xavi remarked during the press conference.

In November 2021 Xavi joined Barcelona and won his La Liga title with them in the 2022/23 season as a manager.

Gavi took his Instagram to post a heartful message on the announcement

Barcelona player Gavi has responded to manager Xavi Hernandez’s announcement of leaving the club at the end of the season.

Following the announcement, midfielder Gavi posted a picture with Xavi on his Instagram account with the caption, “Always with you, Minster”.

Gavi, made his senior debut for Barcelona only a few months before Xavi was appointed. Under the Spanish boss, he has made 97 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven goals and assisting 13 times. Barcelona’s midfielder Gavi is now sidelined with an ACL injury sustained while playing for Spain in November.
