‘Ahmedabad ke match ke liye 100% ready hoga’ – Fans react as Rohit Sharma provides valuable update on Shubman Gill ahead of India-Pakistan clash
In the pre-game news conference, Team India’s captain Rohit Sharma stated that opener Shubman Gill will be 100% available for the pivotal World Cup 2023 match versus Pakistan on October 14.
After recovering from dengue, Gill may soon make his India ODI World Cup debut. Gill missed India’s opening two World Cup games, which they won versus Australia and Afghanistan, after a dengue illness diagnosis. India’s second-choice opening batsman, Ishan Kishan, joined skipper Rohit Sharma on the pitch.
The India team that was scheduled to play Afghanistan on Tuesday did not include Gill in their trip to Delhi. But he did make a direct flight to Ahmedabad so he could catch up with his squad.
In order for the team management to decide whether to include Gill in the lineup for his first World Cup 2023 encounter, Gill was scheduled to participate in another full-fledged training session with the other Indian players.
Given his performance this year, Gill’s return to the team will be a tremendous boost for Team India. Gill, who had already won the title for January, defeated Mohammed Siraj and Dawid Malan of England to take home the Men’s Player of the Month title for the second time this year.

Yuvraj Singh, the legendary Indian all-rounder and the leader of India’s ODI World Cup 2023 winning team in 2011, expressed his hope that Gill will be able to play against Pakistan despite the difficulty of recovering from dengue and fever.
The former team India all-rounder said, “Shubham Gill ko maine tagda kar diya hai [I have strengthened Shubham Gill]. I told him that I had played in the World Cup while battling cancer, so I got ready quickly to join the team. Hopefully, he will be ready for the India vs Pakistan game. When you have a fever and dengue it is really tough to play a cricket match and I have experienced that. So I hope that if he is fit then he will definitely play.”

So it will be interesting to see who will be dropped from team tomorrow. Most likely Iyer will not play as he has not performed and was given chances. Gill as an opner is destrucitive as compared to Kishan bcz he is technically solid batter
