Back in 2016, Karun Nair laid out an absolute exhibition in Chennai in what was the fifth and final Test of a series which India dominated. He smashed an unbeaten 303 which helped India amass a mammoth total of 759 before declaring. During the course of his 381-ball stay, he unleashed elegant drives and powerful pulls. His innings included 32 fours and 4 sixes, and he batted for over 630 minutes, playing one of the best innings by an Indian batter in the longest format of the game. England had no clue on how to dismiss him and India managed a lead of 280 which proved to be too big as the visitors lost by an innings and 75 runs.
