India will face Ireland in a three-match T20I series. The Indian T20I side will have new faces as Jasprit Bumrah will lead them with Ruturaj Gaikwad as his deputy.  For  Ireland, this will be a great chance to try and upset India in their own backyard. The last time India went to Ireland they whitewashed them 2-0. This time with the likes of Josh Little, Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker and Curtis Camphor, Ireland would fancy an upset or two against India.

Ireland also have in their ranks the likes of Andrew Balbarine who has been a very consistent batter for them over the years. Spinner Ben White also relished the challenge of facing India and said that Ireland could throw an upset against India considering the Men in Blue are playing with their young guns and Ireland on the other hand are playing their first-choice players. Both teams will have a chance to understand their combinations in this series ahead of the T20 World Cup in 2024.

I am going to attack the Indian batters: – Ben White on his bowling philosophy in the T20I series

“We can beat anyone on our day – you never know what can happen and you have to believe. Playing against India at home is huge, they’re the best team in the world but we are relishing the challenge,”  White was quoted as saying to the BBC. White has taken 21 wickets in 18 T20Is. He also said he is looking forward to playing against Sanju Samson and wants to get him out whenever he gets an opportunity. White said he would look to attack the Indian batters and take wickets, he lauded India for being good players of spin.

“He’s been very good over the last years and they have some very exciting talent in their squad – in truth, I’d be happy with anyone’s wicket,”  White said. “They are very good players of spin but I don’t think I would be more defensive. I’ll just be trying to take wickets and attacking. He added. “Everyone’s excited and we’ll eliminate pressure by playing the way we do. Every ball is an event and we have to stay one step ahead of them. “We’ll enjoy it – with the big crowd they bring to the ground and the noise they make it should be a great spectacle,” White added.
