KL Rahul came to Dharmasthala on Sunday to seek blessings from Shri Manjunatha Swamy. On his visit to Dharmasthala, KL Rahul met with Virendra Heggade. Virendra had his family for company. When the meeting took place, it felt like a moment of reverence and deep connection to KL Rahul. He is originally from Mangalore, and had also paid a visit to the Kukke Subrahmanya Temple, which is also famous in Karnataka.

Rahul is rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy as he had undergone thigh surgery in London earlier. Rahul hurt his thigh after one month in the Indian Premier League and did not play in May in the 2023 edition. Reports said it is a race against time for him to get fit for the upcoming Asia Cup, which starts on August 31.

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal are selected for the West Indies Tests

After losing the WTC final, the Indian team will regroup for the West Indies tour, including two Tests. Jaiswal and Gaikwad are selected.

Jaiswal replaces Gaikwad as a stand-by due to the latter’s wedding. Pujara is omitted, while Mukesh Kumar and Saini make returns. Unadkat retains his place for the ODI series against Australia.
