India’s most successful captain, MS Dhoni was spotted at the JSCA International Stadium Complex. The fans were left overjoyed as they saw the Chennai skipper batting in the nets on a cemented surface with a Tennis ball.

Here’s the video:

The former Indian skipper has started his preparations for the upcoming Indian T20 League season and there couldn’t be any better news for the fans. MS Dhoni retired from international cricket on 15th August 2020. He last played an international match in the semi-final game of the 2019 World Cup. He, unfortunately, got run out and India lost that game by 18 runs.

However, the 41-year-old cricketer last appeared in the previous edition of the Indian T20 League. Under his leadership, Chennai won the season in 2021, however, the franchise missed out on the playoffs qualification in 2022 for the second time in the history of the league.

Ahead of the start of the season, Ravindra Jadeja took over as captain. But, after him being ruled out due to an injury, Dhoni took over the captaincy duties midway through the season. Much to the delight of the fans, MS Dhoni confirmed his participation for the 2023 season.

“It’s a simple reason: it will be unfair to not play in Chennai and say thank you. Mumbai is one place, where, as a team and as an individual, I have got a lot of love and affection. But it wouldn’t be nice to the CSK fans.” India’s former skipper said.

MS Dhoni is hailed as one of the most successful skippers in the history of the sport. Under his leadership, India won the 2007 20-20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy titles. Besides, he has led Chennai to 4 Indian T20 League titles, which makes it the second most successful franchise.

MS Dhoni made 350 appearances in one-day internationals, scoring 10,773 runs at an average of 50.6. He has also played 90 Tests and 98 T20 internationals for the country.
