Chennai Super Kings have proved why they are the most consistent franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League. They beat Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the IPL 2023 final. In a high-voltage clash, Ravindra Jadeja gave the cricket-crazy fans in Chennai something to rejoice about. He hit 10 runs off the last two balls with a four and a six to seal the deal for the Yellove Army.

Meanwhile, a picture of Dwayne Pretorius’ son Hanlu, who appears to be sitting on a flight, has gone viral. The big catch is that the boy refused to take off his CSK jersey even after the IPL final concluded.  The picture has been doing the rounds on social media. This shows the family culture that is being imbibed in CSK. The team treats everyone in the unit as equal and a single entity with no strings attached. CSK have also made it to the IPL playoffs 12 times.

Here is the picture:

Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have won five Indian Premier League titles each

Strangely enough, Dwaine Pretorius did not play a single game in IPL 2023 and warmed the benches for the entire season. When the South African all-rounder came into CSK, he was brought in as a like-for-like replacement for Dwayne Bravo. The South African has shown what he is capable of in the limited opportunities that he got for the franchise.

With five titles in the bag, CSK has equalled Mumbai Indians on that count. The MS Dhoni phenomenon was the highlight of IPL 2023. The CSK skipper made a lot of news for his chiselled body shape and biceps which shook the internet. Then, it turned out that he played the whole of IPL 2023 with a knee injury. The CSK Ceo Kasi Vishwanathan confirmed that MS Dhoni had stated at the press conference after the IPL final that he has not hung his boots yet and will most likely come back in IPL 2024.

IPL 2023 will be mostly remembered for MS Dhoni and the sea of yellow jerseys that flocked in to see the master at work. The fans were full of love and adoration for him and wanted to catch a glimpse of MS Dhoni in what was rumoured to be his last season according to many reports.
