The 6th T20I between Pakistan and England took place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. England, who were trailing 2-3, won the toss and chose to bowl. Pakistan was provided a great start by Babar Azam, who held firm at one end.

But the move to open with Mohammad Harris did not work out as he was dismissed by Richard Gleeson for just 7. Following his dismissal, Shan Masood and Haider Ali fell to David Willey and Sam Curran respectively as Pakistan was meandering at 62-3.

It took a quick knock from Iftikhar Ahmed, who made 31 from 21 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes, to get Pakistan back on track but when he was dismissed with the score at 110-4. Pakistan could not get going in the end as England put the brakes on Pakistan’s run-scoring.

Asif Ali and Mohammad Nawaz were dismissed at the end by David Willey and Reece Topley which kept Pakistan down to just 169 runs in their 20 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Pakistan’s middle-order, once again, was exposed but it was Babar Azam’s valiant knock of 87 runs in 59 balls which helped the team reach a competitive score.
