In a big relief for Prithvi Shaw, The Mumbai Police have said that there is no evidence available which amounted to an accusation of molestation. Sapna Gill, the social media influencer, had earlier filed a criminal complaint against Shaw and his friend Ashish Yadavat the magistrate court situated in Andheri for allegedly molesting and assaulting her with a baseball bat.
“There is no evidence to support accusation of molestation for misbehavior against Shaw and Gill’s allegation is false,” Hindustan times were quoted as saying from the report which was handed out by the Mumbai Police. In a game of cat and mouse, Shaw was the first to put out a complaint against Gill and friends on the grounds of assault after Shaw had denied her request for a selfie inside a hotel.
Shaw claimed that he was struck with a baseball bat, and when the fracas between the two unfolded, it resulted in damage to the windshield of Shaw’s car. Gill was arrested on those charges, but she later came out on bail, and then the social media influencer subsequently filed a complaint against Shaw and Yadav.

They took the help of a statement which was recorded by the hotel staffer when the incident had surfaced. The Mumbai police said that Shaw was totally against Shobit Thakur, who was a friend of Gill, when he was taking a video of the star batter.
According to what the staff said, Thakur, who appeared to be rattled, stated hurling a volley of abuses on Shaw. “The staffer said that when they were being escorted out, he heard Gill say that ‘dekh ab main uski kya halat karti hoon’ (Now, see what I will do to him). They then left. After half an hour, Shaw and his friends left too. The staffer said that Shaw had not misbehaved with Gill at all on February 15,” Police stated in the report.
On the contrary, Gill had earlier stated that when her friend went to Shaw asking for a selfie, he reacted by taking her phone and breaking it before Thakur was pounded. She also accused Shaw of touching her friend inappropriately after they had requested to stop the attack on her. “They saw that the front windshield of Shaw’s car was broken, and they had seen Gill with a baseball bat in her hand,” The Police report added. Statements of CISF officials were recorded when the arrived on the scene as well.

There needs to be a stricter punishment on those women who file false charges. Till then, such instances would only keep growing. Shaw is a celebrity, so he hs people on his side to help, shudder to think what would hv happened to a common person. Would b in jail already
