Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will go up against each other in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on Thursday in a match where RCB must win to keep their playoff hopes alive. The game will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad and it would be all about just finishing the season on a high for SRH since they are out of the playoffs race. Meanwhile, RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj recollected his memories of watching an IPL game in Hyderabad.
“My best IPL memory in Hyderabad was when I came to watch the match against RCB. It rained and the game was curtailed to 9 overs. Virat bhai won it for RCB”. Siraj said. The game took place in 2015. It was at the same venue where a low-scoring encounter happened. The game was reduced to 11 overs due to a rain interruption. SRH scored 135-3 in 11 overs. The Orange Army was aided by half-centuries from David Warner and Moises Henriques.

In the second innings, there was another spell of rain in the second innings where RCB had to score 83 in five overs. Chris Gayle scored 35 off 10 balls with four fours and three sixes. Though wickets kept falling at the other end, Kohli kept RCB in the hunt by scoring a game-changing unbeaten 44 off 19 balls with three fours and three sixes. RCB got home with Virat Kohli hitting the winning six. David Warner thought he had taken the catch, but he had stepped on the boundary rope which meant RCB got home in dramatic fashion by six wickets.
In today’s game, the Bold Army will want to try and win at any cost and get the two valuable points. They would not want to leave their fate in anyone else’s hands. SRH on the other hand will want to play party spoilers. The pressure will be on RCB going into this game. The Bold Army have made it to the playoffs for the last three seasons. They will want to do it again this season. The game promises to be a cracking encounter that will be keenly watched by other teams in IPL 2023.
